THS school record holders Osnar Pena (2010) and Bobby Button (2010) are competing this weekend in their conference meets.

Suits, Warm-Ups, & Backpacks

If you were issued a tech suit for the region meet, please prepare to turn those in ASAP.

Coach Huckabay would like them all back by Friday. Let's take care of this much sooner!

Starting tomorrow morning, I'll have plastic zipper bags available for you so we can collect those.

Please rinse out the suit and allow it to air-dry overnight, then bring it to the pool in the morning and we'll get it in the bag with your name on it.

Also, please start prepping your warm-ups, backpacks, and competition suits for turn-in.

Since we're time-trialing this week, we'll hold off on trying to collect those for now. Goal will be to have all those collected by March 1.

Warm-ups should be washed, dried, and folded.

Suits should be rinsed, air-dried, and put in a plastic zipper bag.

Please clean out backpacks completely, then place warm-ups and suits neatly inside.

Region Meet

Outstanding job, everyone! I'll do my best to get the website School Records and Top Ten lists updated Monday, along with an announcement.

It was truly a thrill to see the way y'all swam this season as a TEAM!!

You and your parents should be very proud of the way everyone pulled together to make this such a successful season.

p.s. Boys were 8th, Girls were 12th, and we were 9th in combined team scoring!

Academic All-State

Unlike the NISCA Academic All-American program (in which only seniors are eligible), the TISCA Academic All-State program is open to both juniors and seniors.

If you're a junior or senior with a high cummulative GPA (93.75%), please get started on your paperwork soon. Link to rules and form is here.

We started the season with a couple of records on our board that were incorrect. Those (girls' 200 i.m. and 100 free) have finally been fixed! Thanks to the MISD maintenance crew that took care of that for us.

We'll try to get all records broken this school year updated once the dust settles on our current season.
